CEO Water Mandate - The Water Action Hub ("the Hub")

The Water Action Hub (“the Hub”).  Join and actively participate in the Hub. The Hub is an enabling platform designed to promote collaboration among business and other stakeholders. It will help companies efficiently identify potential collaborators and engage with them in water-related collective action to improve water management (and thereby mitigate risks) in regions of critical strategic interest. It facilitates company mitigation activities listed in this section.

Why?

  • Participating in  the Hub and pursuing collective action efforts enables:
    • A clear articulation of the problem statement and a strong sense of shared ownership and joint responsibility of the issues at hand.
    • More informed decision making, in addition to more durable and well informed actions and outcomes that are owned by the engaged parties.
    • A broader scope and depth of motivation in support of water resource management improvements.
    • An expanded pool of expertise, capacity and financial resources better focused on fostering change.
    • In many cases, collective action will be the only way to genuinely overcome shared risks with complex institutional causes and social, environmental, and economic consequences.
  • Increase  your business network
  • Leverage investments and tap expertise of NGOs, government agencies, and multi‐lateral and regional development banks for projects
  • Identify innovative solutions that may lower operational risks and costs
  • Establishment and maintenance of credibility and legitimacy through enhanced business and brand reputation

How?

  • Utilize the CEO Water Mandate’s Guide to Water-Related Collective Action to determine potential collective action pathways
  • Identify regional interests or collective action areas of interest for your organization
  • Register to the Hub and share your organizational interests and ongoing or completed projects.
  • Learn about other organizations’ projects or interests
  • Reach out to and connect with other stakeholders in river basins of interest or action areas of interests.
  • Utilize the Hub to make connections in order to pursue mitigation activities outlined on the Water Risk Filter.
